Football fans have been dying to know who will be involved in the next season of Netflix’s show ‘Quarterback’ following the success of the first.
Many were calling for Joe Burrow to be one of the players cast in season 2 after a second iteration was approved. And it appears their wishes have come true as it’s been reported that the Cincinnati Bengals QB will be part of the show when it comes back around.
The current season features Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota, who, as it turns out, are pretty ordinary guys. The contrast between the three QBs makes for a fascinating series, with Mahomes the fiery leader who has already achieved so much in his short career while Cousins is trying to get his first Super Bowl.
Mariota, on the other hand, is still trying to match his potential after winning the Heisman Trophy at Oregon.
As for Burrow, the Bengals star is one of the best in the game and one of the most likable players in the NFL. The announcement came via NBC’s Peter King, who has since edited it out of his Football Morning In America column.
This does come as a surprise, though, as Burrow was one of the quarterbacks reported to have turned Netflix down.

Other QBs to have done so include Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Justin Fields, Tua Tagovailoa, and Dak Prescott.
