Joe Burrow tore his ACL and MCL with additional structural damage on Sunday when he tackled awkwardly by Washington defenders.
Usually ACL injuries can take up to nine months to heal, but the MCL injury adds an additional layer. As far as Burrow’s timetable for return, there are conflicting reports regarding his health.
Adam Schefter anticipates around nine to twelve months for recovery, and that means Burrow won’t be ready to go until around the 10th or 11th week of the 2021 season.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor shared his thoughts on when he expects Burrow to be back on the field:
Expecting him to be ready and what actually happens are two different things. It all depends how his body responds and heals.
