Joe Burrow appears to get it.
On Friday, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback took to Twitter and used his platform for good when he dropped a powerful statement on the Black community amid the unrest due to the murder of George Floyd by cops.
“The black community needs our help. They have been unheard for far too long. Open your ears, listen, and speak. This isn’t politics. This is human rights.”
Incredibly strong statement for a player who could’ve easily chosen to not say anything as many in his position would normally do.
The No. 1 overall draft pick is expected to be the starter for the Bengals right out of the gate and usher in a new era for the Bengals.
