Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was certainly feeling it during his team’s recent thrashing of the Buffalo Bills.
The Bengals, who ran out to a 27-10 win over Buffalo on Sunday, came into the game with a chip on their shoulder after being treated to some unfair seeding that saw the Bills host their divisional round clash.
The location had little impact on Joe and his teammates; the snow didn’t trouble them either. They’re now set to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game while Stefon Diggs and his teammates have been left to wallow in disappointment.
Diggs was particularly upset after the loss and is reported to have taken his things and stormed out of the Bills’ locker room in the aftermath. But he was probably also peeved to learn that Burrow had screamed a phrase he made popular in the NFL after the Cincinnati QB completed a big play.
Joe was heard telling teammate Mike Hilton “I’m him,” while celebrating a touchdown pass thrown to Hayden Hurst.
Fans will hope that Burrow will continue to be “him” when they face the Chiefs on Sunday as a win would mean a second successive Super Bowl appearance for the Bengals.
