The Cincinnati Bengals suffered their third loss of the season on Sunday, falling to the Baltimore Ravens 19-17. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow completed 24-of-35 passes for 217 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
Wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd combined for 10 receptions for 82 yards and zero touchdowns. The offense simply was not moving the ball against the ravens like they did last year. Hayden Hurst led Cincinnati receivers with six catches for 53 yards and one touchdown, while Joe Mixon led the running game with 14 carries for 78 yards.
Burrow passed for a combined 941 yards in two games against Baltimore in 2021.
The difference on Sunday night was the defensive look the Ravens gave Burrow and it kept their offense in check from making those huge plays.
After the game, Burrow sounded frustrated all while revealing something crucial for the next teams.
“There’s just nothing down the field if teams are going to play us like they did today.”
