Joe Buck’s future at FOX may be in question and his broadcasting partner, Troy Aikman, may be headed to ESPN, but his personal life is still going strong.
Buck, one of the top broadcasters in all of sports, is one of the more criticized men on television today, and his wife fully understood where that came from.
Michelle Beisner-Buck was set up with him through Rich Eisen and she had a brutal first impression of the legend.
“Don’t you want to know who it is?” Eisen asked.
“I started rattling off names,” Beisner said last month. “I was like, ‘Troy Aikman.’ ‘Cris Collinsworth.’ ‘Al Michaels,’ I even said.”
“No,” Eisen said.
“Please don’t say it’s Joe Buck,” Beisner said.
“Well,” Eisen said, “it is Joe Buck and why would you say that?”
Buck is in his last year of his Fox contract in which he makes $11 million to announce MLB and NFL games. However, it is believed that Fox will make a strong case to keep Buck around for the future, especially because they will be broadcasting two Super Bowls in the next three years.
Either way, Buck is going to get paid.
