ESPN “Monday Night Football” commentator Joe Buck couldn’t help but take a shot at Drew Lock during tonight’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia 76ers.
The Seahawks were facing a 4th-and-1 situation on their own 34-yard line late in the first quarter when Pete Carroll decided to punt. That’s where Buck took his shot at Lock, who’s starting in favor of an injured Geno Smith tonight:
Indeed, plenty of teams would go for it on 4th-and-1 in their own territory at that phase. But one can’t blame Carroll for wanting to play it safe with a backup quarterback, and with a reeling Seattle defense going up against one of football’s premier offenses.
