JJ Watt sees all the naysayers and he’s taking notes.
The Houston Texans defensive end is easily one of the best at his position — when he’s actually on the field. Injuries have hampered him over the last four seasons. In 2016, 2017 and 2019, he appeared in only 16 games combined.
In 2018, however, he played in all 16 games and registered 16 sacks, seven forced fumbles and four passes defensed.
On Wednesday, EA Sports dropped ratings for the top-10 pass rushers and Watt was rated 98 overall, second only to the Los Angeles Rams’ Aaron Donald when it comes to pass rushers. Hundreds of people took exception to Watt being rated so high after putting up just 4 sacks in 8 games played in 2019.
The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year would soon take to Twitter and respond to all the naysayers.
Watt is taking names and put folks on notice.
