There was once a time that Arizona Cardinals’ defensive lineman J.J. Watt was amongst the most feared players in the NFL. He may not be the same player that he was in Houston, but he can still cause damage to an offensive line.
Nowadays, people see him as washed-up and a shell of his former self. It’s not really fair to him because Watt has been anything but that in 2022.
Watt has missed just one game all season and even has 9.5 sacks to his name. On Christmas against the Tampa Bay Bucs, he recorded 6 tackles in the OT loss.
After the game, cameras caught him admiring the stadium and fans as he walked off in tears. It wasn’t because they lost, it was likely more so because it could be his final home game in the desert since he’s a free agent after the season.
For the season, he’s racked up 33 total tackles (26 solo), 9.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and six passes defended.
He may be 33-years-old, but Watt can surely help any team he is placed on.

It should be noted that he is a recent father after his wife gave birth. He just might be contemplating retirement.
