Things were supposed to be different with Dak Prescott when he took over for Tony Romo.
The Dallas Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, 23-17 in the NFC Wild Card round. Despite being loaded with talent on both sides of the ball, the Cowboys season ended in disappointment once again. Cowboys fans know this feeling all too well.
Former Cowboys head coach and Pro Football Hall of Fame member, Jimmy Johnson, expressed his feelings on Twitter when he responded to a graphic about Dak Prescott and Tony Romo.
After that last loss, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott fell to 1-3 in the postseason over his six-year career. That’s the same record of former Dallas quarterback Tony Romo through his first six seasons as well.
Tony Romo was a great quarterback for the Cowboys, but was highly criticized for coming up short in the postseason. The same thing is happening with Prescott.
Not being in the Super Bowl since the 90’s is one thing, but the team hasn’t even made it to the NFC Championship game since then either. Dallas always has championship expectations and Romo was unable to lead the Cowboys to even the NFC title game. Prescott is leading them down that same path.
