Legendary Dallas Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson felt like throwing a bit of gasoline on the fire that is his relationship with franchise owner Jerry Jones.
On Sunday, Johnson was posed with the question by Twitter user @MyDrDave who asked Johnson how he would feel if Jones were to induct him into the Cowboys’ Ring of Honor this year.
Johnson’s reply to the question appears to be a shot at Jerry Jones.
“@TroyAikman will present me and Terry Bradshaw will put the jacket on me,” Johnson tweeted.
Johnson spent five years in Dallas, where he turned the franchise around and won back-to-back Super Bowls in 1992 and 1993. After winning his second Super Bowl, however, he was fired by Jones and their relationship has been fractured ever since.
This past fall, Johnson was elected into the 2020 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, and it was Jerry who was quick to praise him for his coaching ability and the success of his career.
