Jimmy Garoppolo is not a happy quarterback.
Over the weekend, the Miami Dolphins changed everything about the upcoming draft after they sent the No. 3 pick to the San Francisco 49ers for the No. 12 pick, which the Dolphins then traded to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite what social media stated right after, multiple reports have stated that the 49ers plan to keep Garoppolo around in 2021.
Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area received word of how the 49ers quarterback reacted to the trade news and he was not happy.
“I did hear that Kyle reached out to Jimmy and had a talk with him on Friday,” Maiocco said during the 49ers Insider Podcast for NBC Sports. “The word is that Jimmy was very disappointed that the 49ers felt that they had to make that move, trading up from No. 12 to No. 3 to get the quarterback of the future.”
“Jimmy is here to stay,” a source with the 49ers told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. “He’s our guy this year.”

Garoppolo has missed 23 of a possible 48 regular-season starts because of knee and ankle injuries over the past three seasons. The best ability will always be availability, and Jimmy G is lacking in that department.
