Jimmy Garoppolo has arrived in Las Vegas, but everything has not gone according to plan.
Jimmy G. has yet to become an official Raider and his scheduled introductory press conference was canceled on Thursday and pushed back to Friday instead. According to Tashan Reed of The Athletic, the team declined to comment on the reason for the delay.
Rumors would soon swirl that there were some issues with his contract that are being ironed out.

Garoppolo was always in the team facilities on Thursday, so whatever the delay wasn’t keeping him away from the Raiders entirely:
The Raiders’ offseason started with them cutting Derek Carr after benching him for the final few games of the 2022 season. He would then go on to sign a deal with the New Orleans Saints.
Not many see Jimmy G’s signing as much of an upgrade as he is known as a game manager. His best season came in 2019 as San Francisco’s starter (3,978 yards, 27 touchdowns, 13 interceptions, 69.1 completion percentage)
Carr, meanwhile, has four Pro Bowls and 4,000 or more passing yards and one season with 30 or more passing touchdowns.
However, Jimmy’s style may be better suited for Josh McDaniels’ scheme, dating back to their time together in New England. McDaniels and Garoppolo are now tasked with returning the team closer to expectations.
