The Las Vegas Raiders may be without one of their key offensive weapons on Sunday, though they did receive a positive update on Davante Adams and Jimmy Garoppolo.
Per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN, wide receiver Jakobi Meyers was out of practice again on Thursday with a concussion. Adams (foot) and Garoppolo (ankle) were both full participants and appear good to go for Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills.
Adams did not participate in Wednesday’s practice, and Garoppolo was limited, per Gutierrez.
Garoppolo completed 20 of 26 pass attempts for 200 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday’s Week 1 opener against the Denver Broncos, a 17-16 Raiders victory. Meyers led the Raiders with nine receptions for 81 yards and two touchdowns, while Adams also turned in a productive day with 66 receiving yards.
The Raiders will look to improve to 2-0 on the year when they visit Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium this Sunday. The Bills are coming off a frustrating 22-16 overtime loss to a New York Jets’ team that lost star quarterback Aaron Rodgers just four snaps into the game with a torn Achilles.
Sunday will mark the first meeting since the Bills and Raiders since Oct. 4, 2020, with Buffalo defeating Las Vegas 30-23 at Allegiant Stadium.
