Yikes! I’m not sure if Jim Nantz intended for this to come out, but it was quite the play play on words from the famed CBS broadcaster.
Prior to a break in the action during the first half of Saturday’s Big Ten semifinals between Iowa and Indiana, Nantz referred to the battle as a “game of runs.” Then, what followed was both disgusting and brilliant.

I’m not sure if Nantz just had feces on his mind after talking about the “runs,” or if he fully intended to go there, but this was one of the best uses of the word “sharted” that you will ever hear.
In the end, the Hawkeyes’ “sharting” proved to be enough, as they held off Indiana for the 90-77 victory, before taking care of Purdue in the finals to book their spot in the big dance.
