Jim Harbaugh is expected to become the new head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, but he’s meeting with another NFL team this Wednesday.
Harbaugh is reported to have agreed to a deal in principle with the Chargers and only has to work out some small details before being announced as their HC. However, it appears he’s still keeping his options open.
According to Jordan Schultz, the Michigan head coach is scheduled to have an interview with the Atlanta Falcons today.
The Wolverines are also keen on keeping Harbaugh, who led them to a National Championship earlier this month, yet the Chargers are prepared to pay him more than the $12.5 million a season he’s been offered to remain in Ann Arbor.
Meanwhile, it’s been reported that Bill Belichick’s move to ATL is no longer thought to be a sure thing following claims that a deal was imminent. That they’re interviewing Harbaugh seems to suggest that may be the case.
