Jim Harbaugh finally got a win against the Ohio State Buckeyes and now he apparently wants to go out on top.
Rumors have been swirling for a week University of Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is drawing interest from several NFL teams. While leaving his alma mater would be difficult, some in coaching circles believe that if he were to leave, now would be the time after finally beating Ohio State and reaching new heights with a program that had not soared previously under him.
On Saturday, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network shared that Harbaugh will “at least listen” to the Las Vegas Raiders pitch as they search for a new head coach.
“The [Raiders] will conduct a thorough coaching search, and [Michigan] coach Jim Harbaugh has garnered some interest,” Rapoport told “NFL GameDay.” Adding, “He will, at least, listen.”
Larry Clemons, the father of four-star receiver Darrius Clemons, told 247Sports that Harbaugh indicated he is exploring the idea of a move.
“He said that he’ll entertain (it),” Larry Clemons said. “He was up front with us about that. I had Coach Harbaugh speak to my pastor. They had a good conversation. Our pastor asked him about that, and that’s just that’s the (reply) that he gave him.”
