The New York Jets have brought yet another one of Aaron Rodgers’ previous Green Bay Packer teammates to Gotham.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Packers have signed veteran safety Adrian Amos to a one-year contract with a value of up to $4 million. Amos spent the previous four seasons with Rodgers in Green Bay.
Amos joins the long list of ex-Packer players who have reunited with Rodgers in New York, along with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. Ahead of the April draft, the Jets acquired the four-time league MVP and future Hall of Famer in a blockbuster trade with the Pack.
The 30-year-old Amos was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round (142nd overall) pack in 2015. Amos spent his first four years in the Windy City before signing with the Packers in 2019, where he emerged as a game-changer in their secondary.
Under Amos’ help, the Packers recorded three straight 13-win seasons from 2019 to 2021, reaching the NFC Championship Game in 2019 and 2020. In his four seasons with the Packers, Amos had seven interceptions, 30 pass defenses and four sacks.

Amos joins a New York defense headlined by young stars Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner (the 2022 Defensive Rookie of the Year) and Quinnen Williams. Last year, the Jets finished with the league’s fourth-best scoring defense in year two under head coach Robert Saleh, allowing just 18.6 points per game.
