A contender in the AFC is being linked to the two biggest names currently on the NFL free agent market.
Five-time Pro Bowl wideout DeAndre Hopkins and four-time Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook remain unsigned after being released by the Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings, respectively.
Recent Twitter activity by Cook and a new report are suddenly linking both the star running back and Hopkins to the New York Jets, who are now led by four-time MVP-winning quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
As you can see in the screenshot below, Cook recently “liked” a tweet from “The Pat McAfee Show” Twitter account that mentioned the “energy” in the Jets’ team building.
Speaking on The 33rd Team with Paul Andrew Esden Jr., Charles Davis also suggested that Rodgers would embrace the arrival of a veteran and “Hall of Fame” wideout like the 31-year-old Hopkins.

Earlier this month, Jets’ head coach Robert Saleh made it clear that his team would look at adding Cook to their roster.
The Jets already have a deep receiving core headlined by 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson, two-time Super Bowl champion Mecole Hardman and two ex-Green Bay Packers in Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb. They also have a potential star at running back in Breece Hall, another OROY contender who suffered a season-ending ACL tear in Week 7.
But players like Cook and Hopkins rarely stay on the open market for this long, and there’s no denying that the Jets would be a better team with the both of them.
