New York Jets star running back Breece Hall broke his silence on a viral video of a confrontation involving him and a fan at an airport.
According to TMZ, the incident took place last Sunday at Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey. Hall was simply minding his own business at an airport when a fan approached him seeking an autograph.
Hall wouldn’t give an autograph, and it led to the aggressive fan challenging the star running back to “slap him.” Fortunately, New York Giants legend Carl Bank was able to break up the incident before things escalated any further:
Hall took to X/Twitter to break his silence on the matter. He said that he will “always show love”, but understandably pointed out harassing him isn’t “the time or place.”
Obviously, it’s hard for a fan to contain their excitement and avoid the temptation to ask a celebrity for an autograph. But Hall is also allowed to expect some privacy and at least some decent manners from others in public, and the fan’s overly aggressive reaction here was simply out of line.
