Zach Wilson is certainly going to upset a ton of people with his latest comments.
Just recently, the New York Jets quarterback did an interview with Deseret News where he opened up about his faith and how he considers himself “a Mormon, an LDS Church member, for sure,” but he is not “comfortable” being portrayed as a representative of the church.
“It is not something I am against, it is just that I didn’t grow up active in the church,” he said. “I’m not that ‘poster boy’ for the church. … I was never really a churchgoer my whole life, just not involved much in it. My family and I hold the same morals and values that the church does, for sure, but I really didn’t know a lot about the teaching and stuff until I got to BYU.”
As bad luck would have it, Wilson would be on the golf course with some of his buddies when one of them brought up Joseph Smith, who was the religious leader and founder of Mormonism and the Latter Day Saint movement.
“You throw like Joseph Smith is telling you plays from the sidelines,” one guy could be heard saying from behind the camera.
Zach Wilson responds, “Joseph Smith was f–king 100 b–ches so…”.

That is not a good look.
The Jets used the No. 2 overall choice on Zach Wilson a year ago. After 13 starts, he poured in 2,334 yards, nine touchdowns, 11 interceptions and a 69.7 passer rating.
The team was very bad, but that was expected because the Jets are the Jets.
