There has been a lot of talk over the past 48 hours about a potentially rocky relationship between New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh and quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but the four-time MVP insists that there is no tension whatsoever.
After Sunday’s stunning 10-9 loss at home to the Denver Broncos, Aaron Rodgers made headlines when he expressed displeasure with Saleh questioning the team’s readiness for cadences on offense:
But during his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” today, Rodgers poured cold water over rumors that there’s a rift between him and the fourth-year head coach.
“Rob and I have a great relationship, and we have since day one when I got here. You know, we have text message conversations, threads that we’re in, conversations about a number of different topics outside of football. We’ve got a good friendship.”
The Jets were favored by more than a touchdown against the Broncos on Sunday. Even though Denver rookie quarterback Bo Nix threw for just 60 yards, it was barely enough to help the Broncos pull off a stunning 10-9 upset over Aaron Rodgers’ group.

Rodgers has done his part on the offensive side of the ball, completing 64.1 percent of pass attempts for 849 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. Clearly, however, there’s still plenty of work ahead for this star-studded offense to find its rhythm and live up to its potential.
Aaron Rodgers & Jets Look To Rebound In London vs. Vikings
Things don’t get much easier for the inconsistent Jets, who are now heading to London for a showdown against Sam Darnold and the 4-0 Minnesota Vikings.
Rodgers has a long history with the Vikings, but this is a well-balanced group that can overwhelm opponents on both sides of the ball. New York’s offensive line is going to have to hold up against Brian Flores’ blitz-happy defense, and the Jets will need Sauce Gardner to win his matchups against Justin Jefferson and/or Jordan Addison.
