Elijah Moore was five weeks removed from his low point in the NFL when he shocked everybody by demanding a trade and being kicked out of practice.
After the Jets benched Zach Wilson and started Mike White, Elijah Moore scored his first touchdown of the year and his teammates couldn’t be happier. In the Jets’ 31-10 win over the Justin Fields-less Bears, Moore caught two passes for 64 yards.
After the game, his teammates rallied around him by screaming “free that man!” “Free E!” and “E’s Free!”
Seems harmless, but given how bad his connection with Zach Wilson was, it seemed lie a shot at the former No. 2 overall draft pick.

Starting in place of Wilson, White completed 22 of 28 passes for 315 yards and 3 touchdown passes, as the Jets throttled the Bears by a final score of 31-10. Even in the rian, White sparked the Jets to a season-high 466 yards. White became the fifth player in NFL history to have multiple games with 300 yards passing and three TD passes in his first four career starts.
Wilson has struggled all season. He has completed just 55.6% of his passes with five interceptions to just four touchdown passes. His QBR is 43.8, which is the 25th-worst in the NFL.
If Mike White continues to play like this and move the offense, he could be watching from the bench for the rest of the year.
