Players can sometimes be just as awestruck as the fans when they come across one of the game’s all-time greats on the field.
On Sunday, the New York Jets gave the Tampa Bay Bucs all they could handle as they held a late 4th quarter lead with just seconds to play. Unfortunately, it was all for naught, as Tom Brady would throw a last-second touchdown to break the hearts of the New York Jets, just as he used to when he played in the AFC for the Pats.
After the game, Jets cornerback Brandin Echols walked up to Tom Brady and asked him for an autograph despite the heartbreaking loss.
At least, he walked away happy, as Brady obliged and gave him the signature.
It was a nice gesture from Brady. It probably helps that his team was able to pull off the last second victory, else I highly doubt Tommy would have been in the mood after the game.
Brady hit Cyril Grayson for a 33-yard touchdown with just 15 seconds remaining to give the Buccaneers an important 28-24 victory. The GOAT finished the game with 410 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.
