If the New York Giants do not want Daniel Jones, there is another team that plays in a familiar place that would love to have him.
If the New York Giants and quarterback Daniel Jones can’t reach a long-term agreement and he isn’t franchised by March 15, expect the New York Jets to come calling.
Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reported that the Jets are “open to all possibilities” as they search for their next quarterback and that includes luring Jones away from the Giants.
“They’re exploring everything, from Rodgers and Carr, to Ryan Tannehill and Jimmy Garoppolo, to even the idea of bringing Geno Smith back or luring Daniel Jones from across town.”
The New York Jets know that Zach Wilson is not going to be the guy going forward after a terrible 2022 campaign that produced way more downs than ups. The team is still holding out hope that Aaron Rodgers not only continues his career, but wants to be traded since they have been the most talked about team to go after him via trade.
If that doesn’t happen, the team is expected to turn their attention to the likes of Derek Carr, who was released by the Las Vegas Raiders.
Ask for New York, there have been rumors that Daniel Jones asked for $45 million annually from the New York Giants and the two sides remain far apart on a longterm deal.

Jones will more than likely get franchise tagged when it’s all said and done.
