The NFL team set to feature as HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ team for 2023 has been confirmed.
Despite the New York Jets not wanting to be involved, they will be the team highlighted next season, with confirmation coming from ESPN’s Adam Schefter this Wednesday.
The Jets will be one of the more intriguing teams in the league this season given their acquisition of veteran star Aaron Rodgers via trade. However, head coach Robert Saleh previously told reporters that the team was not interested in participation.
Even so, the Jets were one of four teams eligible for involvement in the coming season based on the NFL’s criteria, which leaves teams with first-year coaches and recent playoff contenders unavailable for selection.
The Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, and the Washington Commanders were the other three eligible teams. The Bears and Saints were also not interested and, while the Commanders were open to it, the impending ownership change was an issue.
The league is reported to have approached the Detroit Lions, who were on the show last year, but they were turned down.

Fans will definitely love the pick given the Rodgers trade. The Jets haven’t been to the playoffs in 12 seasons but are now looking to go straight to the Super Bowl with a new QB leading the offense. Makes for good viewing.
