Right about now, New York Jets fans would like to see just about anyone under center who isn’t Zach Wilson.
After being benched weeks ago, the 2021 second-overall pick was forced back into the starting lineup that last couple of weeks while Mike White deals with his fractured ribs…
And it hasn’t been pretty.
During tonight’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Wilson and the offense has been stuck in quicksand ever since their first drive. Wilson can’t seem to make any plays downfield, and his 78 passing yards in the first half just aren’t going to cut it.
With the team trailing 13-3 at the half, Jets fans were not happy about having to watch this offensive debacle while sitting in the freezing cold rain…
So they let their struggling quarterback have it.
