Tim Boyle’s 99-yard pick-six to Jevon Holland on a Hail Mary throw in the New York Jets-Miami Dolphins game cost a major company dearly.
On the final play of the first half in the Black Friday game, Boyle launched a Hail Mary that was picked off by Miami’s star safety at the one-yard line. Holland then ran it back all the way for a 99-yard pick-six that increased Miami’s lead to 11.
According to Ben Fischer of the Sports Business Journal, TCL USA (a TV sponsor for the NFL) promised to give away $1 million worth of big screen televisions if there was a play of 98-plus yards in the contest.
Fischer was able to confirm with the company that the offer held up, and that it was fulfilled. As a result, they’re giving away 84 television sets worth $12,000 per.

So thanks to Holland’s highlight reel play (or the Jets’ incompetence, depending on how you want to look at it), 84 lucky customers won a dream prize thanks to TCL USA’s generosity.
The Jets benched struggling QB Zach Wilson and decided to give Boyle a look on offense, but it was more of the same for Robert Saleh’s group. Boyle threw two interceptions and was sacked a whopping seven times in a 34-13 blowout loss.
Miami improved to 8-3 with the win, while Saleh’s Jets dropped their fourth straight to fall to 4-7 with only six games to go.
