The New York Jets just find new and inventive ways to lose every single week.
On Sunday, they snatched victory from themselves with just a few seconds left in the game with a mind boggling defensive call.
New York sent a herd of defenders to blitz Derek Carr, only for it to backfire to the tune of a 46-yard touchdown pass with five seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, as rookie cornerback Lamar Jackson was beat deep by rookie wide receiver Henry Ruggs III to give the Raiders a 31-28 victory at MetLife Stadium.
In doing so, the Jets became the first team all year to send 8+ pass rushers in the last 30 seconds of a game.
