The New York Jets are looking to re-shape their secondary once again this offseason and now it seems they might be moving on from a 2017 second-round pick.
Daily News’ Manish Mehta reported that the team is fielding trade offers for safety Marcus Maye.
Mehta added that head coach Adam Gase wanted to trade Maye as soon as the Jets hired him in early 2019.
Maye has one year left on his rookie contract that will pay him only $1,358,733 in 2020 with a $2,085,378 cap hit.
He finished the 2019 season by playing in all 16 games and racking up 65 tackles, 1 interception, and a career-high seven pass breakups.
