It took the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense a while, but they finally got things rolling at the end of the second half during today’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
To Jessie Bates III’s credit, he sensed this sudden shift in momentum and did what he could to slow down Patrick Mahomes and company… Unfortunately, he had to embarrass himself in the process.
With the Chiefs set up just outside Cincy’s goal line and the Bengals hustling to make a couple of substitutions, Bates felt his team needed a stoppage in play. So he did the first thing that came to mind and flopped to the ground with a supposed leg injury.
The entire act was caught on camera, and CBS was quick to out the Bengals safety.
Unfortunately, it didn’t help much, as the Chiefs scored a touchdown just a few plays later.
