Jessica Alba was feeling New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner after meeting him at a recent NBA game, though he had no idea who she was.
Gardner and Aaron Rodgers were at Madison Square Garden for the second game of the second-round affair between the Miami Heat and New York Knicks on Tuesday night and got to see the home team stick it out for a hard-fought win against the visitors to even things up at 1-1.
Rodgers had himself a laugh at his new teammate as he didn’t know who Alba was, with the quarterback reported to have picked on the defensive stud throughout the game on account of his ignorance.
“He was just picking on me for being young,” Sauce told reporters the following day. “We was getting seated, and he was like, ‘We about to sit by Jessica Alba.’
“I’m just like, ‘Oh, I don’t know who that is.’ He looked at me like I’m crazy. That whole night he’d keep asking me, ‘Do you know who that person is?'”

Jessica had some nice things to say about the Jets player this Thursday, tweeting she can see where he gets the nickname “Sauce” from.
“Lol -I totally see how this kid Sauce got his name,” tweeted. “But in all honesty he was actually very polite with his elder @AaronRodgers12 and everyone else in the room.
“It was nice meeting you.
The 42-year-old actress was particularly impressed by Gardner’s asking one of her friends, “How can I get caught up when I’m the catch?”
The 22-year-old has since cleared things up, tweeting that he’s seen Alba in movies but never knew what her real name was, also referring to Rodgers as a chaperone. The new Jets QB had something to say about that.
Looks like it’s going to be a fun 2023 season in New York.
