Dak Prescott started the 2021 season off hot, but has since cooled down considerably.
During his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was asked if Prescott is 100 percent healthy. His response threw some other players on the team under the bus.
“Yes,” Jones replied. “The thing that you’re seeing sometimes when the pass looks errant is because the receiver, for instance, ran the wrong route, cut it off two yards shorter. … That’s one of the answers, better routes.”
Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb and the rest of the receiving corps certainly won’t like these comments.
Last Thursaday, Prescott had 238 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception against the New Orleans Saints after Amari Cooper made his way back to the field after testing positive.
His numbers were nice, but the offense still sputtered all game long until Tony Pollard had a long rushing touchdown in the second half.
