Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones surprised everyone by appearing in the popular Paramount series ‘Landman’ and giving a pretty good representation of himself.
The show, set in oilfields in West Texas, stars Billy Bob Thornton as the lead actor. He plays an out-of-town lawyer named Tommy Norris investigating a deadly accident early in the first season, which debuted in November.
Jones plays a small role, presumably as himself, as he mentioned his ownership of the Cowboys while visiting Monty Miller, played by Jon Hamm, in hospital. Miller, a fellow oil magnate, is in a hospital bed after suffering a heart attack when he gets a visit from Jones, who gives a heartfelt speech with Norris also in the room.

“That was genuinely a great speech he gave. A lot of wisdom. I wonder how much was acting and how much was his genuine emotion coming out there since he does include his kids so much,” a comment read.

Jerry Jones Appeared To Be Speaking From The Heart
Jerry’s cameo suggests he really was speaking from the heart as he was explaining to a fellow businessman how worthwhile it is to work with his family.
All three of Jones’ kids are top executives within the Cowboys organization. His son Stephen is the chief operating officer and director of player personnel, while his other son Jerry Jr. is in charge of sales and marketing. His daughter Charlotte is the chief brand officer.
It appears Jerry Jones could have been a top actor had he chosen to go that route, but Cowboys fans have had to suffer with him as the team’s owner instead.
