Fans are criticizing Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for his comments on Dak Prescott in the aftermath of their loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
Jones has publicly backed the quarterback following his performance in the blowout defeat, speaking up in Dak’s defense after he threw three interceptions and generally struggled against the Niners.
Despite his string of poor outings, Jerry continues to show support for his QB, likely to the chagrin of Skip Bayless, who urged him to forget about the underperforming signal-caller.
“I completely believe we have the quarterback that can take us where we want to go,” he said on 105.3 The Fan, per The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “Dak Prescott is a quarterback that can get us to the Super Bowl. And that’s the way that’s going to be.”
Of course, Jerry’s saying what he feels he needs to say, but fans aren’t having it.

The Cowboys, though, are still 3-2 after their first five games, so they’re hardly a sinking ship. However, fans would love to see more from the team.
As for Dak, the signal-caller has a 64-38 record since he was drafted in 2016 and has helped the Cowboys reach the playoffs on four occasions, though he’s only won two playoff games from the six he’s played.
San Francisco seems to have his number as he’s lost his last three games against the Cowboys’ NFC rivals, including twice in the playoffs.
