Every week, Jerry Jones and his son Stephen Jones make two appearances apiece on 105.3 The Fan. Stephen usually joins the crew on Mondays and Fridays, while Jerry speaks on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Throughout the year, the duo (especially Jerry) have provided insight on the inner-workings of the Cowboys during these weekly appearances. Unfortunately, we won’t be getting any info from the team’s owner or their executive vice president this week.
According to a Tweet from the show’s host, Shan Shariff, Stephen didn’t appear on yesterday’s segment and Jerry Jones cancelled his scheduled appearance for today.
No word yet on whether they’ll be showing up for Friday’s show.
It is also anyone’s guess as to why they didn’t speak on Monday or Tuesday. It’s very possible that the two of them are still too depressed to speak following Sunday’s heartbreaking 19-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round.
While speaking with reporters after that crushing playoff loss, Jerry Jones appeared to be noticeably distraught.

It’s also possible that the front office is still contemplating what they should do with Mike McCarthy. Perhaps they feel as though they don’t want to risk divulging too much info on the radio show before knowing for certain which direction they want to take with their head coach?
