Jerry Jones is getting up there in age, and as you know, the mind is always the first thing to go.
While speaking on 105.3 The Fan, the Dallas Cowboys owner addressed many topics that included Michael Gallup’s pending return. After stating his hopes to have him back by Monday Night, he started to praise another player on the team, but couldn’t get his name right.
“I think we’re all giving Wilson our receiver real kudos because you see what he’s capable of doing,” Jones said, via Mark Lane of WFAA Sports. “He makes big plays. He can get to the ball.”
Unfortunately for Jones, the Cowboys don’t have a wide receiver named Wilson.
He may have been thinking of Cedrick Wilson Jr., who played there for three seasons, but he signed with the Miami Dolphins this offseason.
It appears Jones was peaking about Noah Brown, who garnered 91 yards and a touchdown in Week 2’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jones might still be on cloud nine after his team improved to 1-1 on the year after a huge win over the Bengals without Dak Prescott in the lineup.
