It was announced just a few days ago that Arkansas had turned to redshirt freshman quarterback John Stephen Jones for its Week 11 game against Western Kentucky, which will serve as his first career start.
Just in case you didn’t know, JSJ is the grandson of Dallas Cowboys owner and former Razorbacks offensive lineman Jerry Jones.
Two days after Arkansas coach Chad Morris announced the change, Jerry Jones was asked about his feelings towards the incredible opportunity for his grandson.
As expected, he was elated.
In the past two games, specifically in mop-up time, the younger Jones has completed 10 of 16 passes for 74 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Arkansas is hoping for a spark as the program currently ranks 12th in the SEC in scoring offense and total offense.
