A judge in Dallas County has upheld a decision and ordered Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to take a paternity test to determine whether or not he’s the biological father of a 27-year-old woman.
That woman, Alexandra Davis, sued Jones back in 2022 as she claimed that the sports team owner was her father.
The lawyer representing 27-year-old Alexandra Davis called it a “huge victory.”
“Alex is in a position where she really no longer has to hide her truth or live under the thumb of fear and maybe she’s going to finally get some peace and we hope other families will have that same benefit from the judge following the law,” Kris Hayes said.
Davis’ lawyer, Kris Hayes said Davis no longer has to hide her truth, and that she will hopefully get the peace she has always deserved.
“Alex is a poised, classy young lady that has remained in the shadows out of fear and now that has been vindicated by the Courts,” Hayes wrote. “She has given a voice to all children in her position and she has done it with grace and humility.”

In her lawsuit, Davis said she was conceived after her mother, Cynthia Davis, and Jones had a relationship in the mid-1990s. An agreement would be reached at the time where Jones would provide support financially to Davis but not acknowledge or identify publicly that Jones was Alexandra Davis’ father.
In a refiled defamation complaint, the woman, Alexandra Davis, alleged Jones, Donald Jack, the lawyer, and the consultant, Jim Wilkinson portrayed her as an “extortionist” and “shakedown artist.”
The case was refiled in November after being partially dismissed in October.
The now 81-year-old Jones has been the owner of the Cowboys since he purchased them in 1989 for $150 million. The franchise is now worth $9 billion, according to Forbes, making it the most valuable sports team in the world.
