Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders met up with Jerry Jones before the Dallas Cowboys beat the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night.
Shedeur was at the AT&T Stadium with his father, Deion Sanders, who caught up with the team owner for a few minutes. Coach Prime helped the Cowboys win a Super Bowl in 1995/96 and maintains a great relationship with Jones.
The three of them were shown exchanging greetings ahead of the TNF fixture and, at one point, Jerry was heard telling Shedeur he could easily be the top pick of the draft.
“Very easily could be the top pick in the draft,” he said.
Shedeur had a difficult first season with the Buffaloes as their offensive line provided little protection. He was the nation’s most sacked quarterback, having gotten brought down 52 times. Still, he managed to throw for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns, registering only three interceptions. He added another four scores from the ground, rushing for 111 yards.
The 21-year-old isn’t expected to enter the draft next year, however. He has one year of eligibility remaining and Coach Prime has implied that he will use it.

“They’re going to come out [for the NFL Draft] at the same time—next year,” Sanders told ‘The Dan Patrick Show’ earlier this year, referring to both of his sons. “They’re not trying to leave daddy this year by the way.”
Deion’s other son, Shilo Sanders also plays for the Buffs, suiting up as a safety. Both he and his brother are tipped to go pro in due time.
