Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones was seen speaking to one of his biggest enemies ahead of the club’s Week 6 road game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer shared a video on X (formerly known as Twitter) of Jones meeting with former Dallas head coach Jimmy Johnson (part of “NFL on FOX” with Glazer), who coached the team to Super Bowl championships in 1992 and ’93.
This is noteworthy because Jones and Johnson had a well-documented public feud that led to the latter’s departure from Dallas after its Super Bowl-winning 1993 season. To date, Johnson still hasn’t been added to the Cowboys’ Ring of Honor, though Jones previously stated that he plans to do it eventually.
Only Jones and Johnson know where their relationship stands today, but it’s certainly nice to see these two meeting before the game. It’s encouraging that they’re at least capable of being civil.
One last order of business: Put him in the Ring of Honor already, Jerry.
