Jerry Jones is not a man who likes to be told what to do, especially when it comes to his stadium.
Last week, there was some blinding sunlight blaring through the windows at AT&T Stadium that cost his team dearly in last week’s 23-17 playoff loss to the 49ers, but not even that is enough for Jones to change his stance on doing something about it.
On the Cowboys’ final drive before halftime, Dak Prescott found an open Cedrick Wilson on a play that should have put them in field goal position. Only problem there is Wilson couldn’t see Dak or the ball, so he ducked out of the way.
Bryan Anger was also affected when he bounced a punt off the giant jumbotron hanging over the field of play.
Jones got fired up during his weekly appearance on Dallas’ 105.3 The Fan’s K&C Masterpiece on Friday when asked about shading those windows for the future.
“I wish to hell all I had to worry about was a ball hitting a (jumbotron) or a little sun getting in there,” Jones said. “Conditions and elements have been a part of football since it was spelled the first time. No, I’m not. That’s about 10,000 on my list of things to worry about. And, no, we’re not going to do anything with it. It goes both ways. Both teams had a chance to get in the sun, both teams had a chance to get out of the sun. Relative to the elements I see other people play in, it’s nothing.”
“Well, I do the very same thing,” Jones said. “When I’ve had my ass kicked and people are mad at me, then I’m going to pick something out that I can pick on them. ‘Well, I don’t like that they don’t color coordinate or they don’t wear something I want them to wear.’ When, really, it’s something much more important than that. What we’ve got on our mind is the fact that we didn’t play well enough in the first playoff game with a hell of a team.”

There you have it. Jerry likes his windows and wouldn’t change it one bit to even help out his team.
