If you thought Jerry Jones was going to back down from the joke he made last week, you thought wrong.
The Dallas Cowboys owner is refusing to back down one bit from his “Zeke who?” comment that he made after the Dallas Cowboys victory in Hawaii. Following a press conference to announce a new long-term deal with linebacker Jaylon Smith, Jones spoke about the Elliott situation.
He addressed Rocky Arceneaux, Elliott’s agent, who stated that the joke was “disrespectful” to Elliott:
“I’ve earned the right to joke with Zeke. Let me be real clear about that. I’ve earned the right to joke with Zeke.”
Jerry Jones might be in a joking mood, but seeing as how his star running back hasn’t appeared in camp or any preseason games should let him know that Zeke is not seeing this as a joking matter.
