Jerry Jones doesn’t believe Ezekiel Elliott will face any discipline from the NFL for his involvement in an incident at a Las Vegas festival last weekend that saw him detained in handcuffs.
On Thursday, the Dallas Cowboys owner had this to say about the situation:
“I think the main thing is, I don’t see anything that needs supporting. His status with us has not been impacted in any way. Frankly, I know how consciousness he’s been in the offseason and that’s good enough,” Jones told reporters at Cowboys OTAs, including 105.3 The Fan’s Mike Fisher. “I don’t see it having any consequences for us.”
Jones was then asked if Elliott’s behavior off-the-field would help steer the NFL away from a suspension for the Cowboys’ star running back?
“Well, I think he’s certainly had a great offseason,” Jones said. “He had a great year last year. I think that will speak for itself. Yes, his career overall to this point is (in) a really positive place.”

Elliott has made sure to stay out of trouble ever since he got suspended for six games in 2017 after he was accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend. Much like his current situation, no charges were ever field in that case and he still maintains his innocence.
