Cowboys owner Jerry Jones botched DeMarcus Ware’s Ring of Honor ceremony in the most embarrassing way.
Former Dallas Cowboys pass rusher DeMarcus Ware got into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and then was honored by the team during today’s game.
The Dallas Cowboys enjoyed a dream start in the first half against the LA Rams on Sunday, as they opened a 33-9 lead. Once halftime came, fans were excited as they got treated during the intermission when newly-minted Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware was inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor.
Jones mistakenly introduced DeMarcus Ware as current current DE DeMarcus Lawrence.
Ware was taken by the Cowboys with the 11th pick in the 2005 NFL Draft out of Auburn and played nine seasons in Dallas, twice leading the NFL in sacks. He also made the Pro Bowl seven times with Dallas before moving to Denver for his final three seasons where he made two more Pro Bowls and won a Super Bowl with Peyton Manning.
