Perhaps a pep talk from owner Jerry Jones is all Dallas Cowboys kicker Brett Maher needs to get over his kicking woes.
Maher was a giant talking point during and after the Cowboys’ blowout road win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Super Wild Card Weekend. Though the Cowboys cruised to a 31-14 victory, Maher completely struggled in that game by missing four extra point attempts on Dallas’ first four touchdown drives.
Per Tim Kawakami of The Athletic, Maher had missed several kicks in pre-game warm-ups for the Cowboys-San Francisco 49ers Divisional Round Game at Levi’s Stadium. Jones went over and spoke to Maher, and then the latter started to send his kicks through the uprights.

The 49ers hold the NFL’s best defense and are just a season removed from reaching the NFC Championship Game. Dallas, on the other had, will be looking to reach the final four for the first time since the 1995 season, when they won their last Super Bowl.
