The Denver Broncos may have won their game on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers, but it wasn’t pretty — especially for the offense.
And while it was Russell Wilson who was getting most of the blame for Denver’s shortcomings on offense, some viewers also couldn’t help but notice the limited contributions being made by former first-round pick Jerry Jeudy.
After going off for 102 yards and a touchdown in week one, Jeudy had just one catch for 11 yards last week. And things didn’t get much better for the former Alabama star in week three.
Despite receiving six targets, Jeudy caught just two balls for seventeen yards. And after he failed to haul in a deep pass early in the fourth quarter, former Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe decided he had seen enough.
Here’s a look at the drop by Jeudy:
Even though that ball was clearly deflected, Sharpe still hopped on social media to blast the young Broncos wideout:

Some of Sharpe’s followers tried to put the blame on Russell Wilson or the fact that the ball was tipped, but Shannon wasn’t having any of it.
After the Broncos came away with the 11-10 win, Jeudy must have caught wind of all the chatter about him on Sharpe’s Twitter account, because he went right at the Hall of Famer by telling him his breath smells like his butt.
Jeudy deleted the Tweet, but not before it had been screenshotted enough times to make the rounds on the internet.
Knowing that his initial tweet did not go unnoticed by the public, Jeudy tried to save some face by claiming he would be the ‘bigger man’ and ‘let Shannon have that’ one. Too late, Jerry!
A win is a win, but I’m not sure Jeudy and the Broncos offense should be calling that one a “good win.”
They’ve looked terrible through the first three games of the season. They haven’t scored more than 16 points, yet they somehow find themselves sitting at 2-1. These seem more like “lucky wins” than “good wins” at this point. And they likely won’t continue if the offense continues to sputter like it has.
