One day after the team got blown out 70-20 at the hands of the Dolphins, head coach Sean Payton said no coaches or players were in immediate danger of losing their jobs despite the club’s 0-3 start.
“No,” Payton said, via Mike Klis of 9News. “And that wouldn’t be something I’d share on a conference call if that ever were the case. So, no, to answer your question.”
As we know, things in the NFL can quickly change. If Denver loses a few more games, we could see Payton parting ways with anybody.
If the team somehow loses to one or both of the winless Chicago Bears or the Zach Wilson-led New York Jets over the next two weeks, a true firesale might be on the table.
We are now hearing rumors that the team could be looking to trade standout WR Jerry Jeudy to secure some draft capital.
Denver shouldn’t have any trouble finding a taker for his services.

In his second game played, Jeudy had five catches for 81 yards and so far has a total of eight catches for 106 yards and zero touchdowns.
The 15th overall pick in 2020, Jeudy posted the best season of his career in 2022 as he caught 67 passes for 972 yards and six touchdowns.
Payton is no stranger to 0-3 starts as the New Orleans Saints opened the season with a 0-3 record under Payton in 2007, 2015, and 2016. All three teams finished 7-9. That would be a drastic improvement for the Broncos.
