The Kansas City Chiefs are thought to be the favorites to land a wide receiver who is expected to be on the move this month.
The reigning Super Bowl champions just brought Mecole Hardman back, reuniting with the wideout after he joined the New York Jets earlier this year. But they could still be in the market for another receiving option and, according to BetOnline odds, are the favorites to acquire Jerry Jeudy from the Denver Broncos.
Said platform has the Chiefs at +400 to trade for Jeudy ahead of the deadline, though there’s nothing else to suggest that they’re the frontrunners, and the Indianapolis Colts are reported to be in concrete talks.
It’s understood that the wideout is very likely to be placed on the trade block by Denver after their disastrous start to the season. The Broncos are 1-5 under new head coach Sean Payton, who could make moves to overhaul and bring his own players in for next season.
Jeudy, a first-round pick out of Alabama by the Broncos in 2020, has only managed 20 receptions on 29 targets, registering 222 receiving yards.
A change of environment would likely reinvigorate his career – and who better to catch passes from than Patrick Mahomes?
