We already had one cool Sunday Night Football player introduction to show you after New York Jets cornerback DJ Reed claimed to attend “HIM University.”
Not to be outdone by his defensive teammate, linebacker Jermaine Johnson also had a cool into of his own when he gave a shoutout to “Last Chance U.”
Johnson appeared on the Netflix series during season 4, as a member of the 2018 ICC Pirates.
From there, he headed to Georgia for two seasons, before landing at Florida State in 2021 and really making his mark on the college football world. It was enough to get him selected in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Jets, with the 26th overall pick.
Nice to see Johnson hasn’t forgotten his roots.
